Saleh Rahimlou

Postdoctoral Fellow | Bioinformatics | Fungal Genomics

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Penn State University specializing in fungal genomics, comparative genomics, phylogenomics, and molecular diagnostics. My research integrates genome-scale sequencing, metagenomics, evolutionary biology, and bioinformatics to investigate the diversity, evolution, and ecology of fungi and plant-associated microorganisms. Current projects focus on fungal pathogens, mycorrhizal symbioses, nitrogen-fixing bacteria, and the development of genomic resources and diagnostic tools for emerging and economically important species. I am particularly interested in leveraging large-scale genomic datasets to address questions in evolution, taxonomy, host–microbe interactions, and microbial ecology.
